About
Nous is a research and media house working at the intersection of scholarship, journalism, and technology — dedicated to reshaping how Muslims and other marginalised communities are represented in public discourse.
Founded in January 2022, in the aftermath of the CAA-NRC movement, Nous operates under a simple credo — "From Metaphysics to Masses" — converting rigorous scholarship into documentaries, podcasts, and reports that a general audience can actually use.
Vision
An informed, inclusive, and self-represented public sphere — where Indian Muslims, and all marginalised communities, can tell their own stories with truth, dignity, and depth.
Mission
Nous exists to bridge the gap between research and public understanding — transforming rigorous academic inquiry into accessible, data-driven work that shapes how India understands its minorities.
What We Do
Research — surveys, databases, and reports on law, education, and development, grounded in field evidence and data analysis.
Media — explainers, documentaries, and podcasts that translate that research for a public audience.
Our work spans the documentation of Indian Muslim history and heritage, legal analysis, media literacy, and questions about what comes next.
