2:30Ottoman Caliph: What Happened After 1924?

"How would anyone feel when they're told the university they helped build will be demolished?"
At the moment this news came to you — this notice — that the university which was built weaving so many hopes, so many dreams, by Azam Khan sahab, was going to be bulldozed, and you were given only fifteen days' notice — what was the first thought that came to your mind?
Well, the first thing is that I never even thought that the university would be demolished. Because, firstly, I have complete faith in Allah — perhaps everyone does, but I have full faith in this: that if something is done with complete truth and honesty, then — this university, too, was built with complete truth and honesty. And in this university, so many of our children are protesting — the students are also very emotionally attached, because in building it, these children too have contributed a great deal. In the scorching heat, they themselves did the bricklaying and cement work — all of this — with their own hands, and built the university.
What do you think — what state of mind must they be going through? Not just me, everyone must feel it — that a person who is so emotionally attached to his university, to his educational institution — how would he feel when he is told that it will be torn down?
